Circasia Jane’s professional writing career began in 1994 with the publication of the award-winning Going by the Book, a memoir about teaching high school English in New Haven Connecticut in the Sixties. In 1999 she gave readers The “M” Word, the first mystery in the Bel Barrett Mystery Series which chronicles the sleuthing of a menopausal community college English prof. Her award-winning historical mystery, The Bones and the Book, published in 2012, is set in Seattle’s Jewish community during the Gold Rush and in 1965. In Jane’s newest book, Murder in the Melting Pot, published in 2018, a young woman explores life, love, and death in Central Washington’s compelling Yakima Valley.
